Newborn and Baby Photography in Leigh with baby William
Next up on the blog is the newborn photography session of most adorable little man, baby William who was just 7 days old when I had the pleasure of meeting him last week. William’s mummy and daddy, Michael and Natasha got married last year and I was very lucky to be their photographer. You can see their amazing Last Drop Hotel Wedding day here.
When Natasha got in touch to ask me to do their Newborn Baby Session I was so excited to see them again and meet little William because if he was anything like these two he would be a little stunner. So much has happened for these two, they got married just a year ago and have moved into a beautiful new house, had a baby and Mike has a brilliant new job.
I arrived in the morning for William’s baby session and couldn’t wait to catch up and find out all about the birth. Natasha told me how she loved every single minute of the birth! Now thats one I haven’t heard before!
We got started with William’s baby photos and after Natasha got him to sleep he was posed on the bean bag with Mike’s hands to soothe him. Before long he was soundly asleep and we were able to pose him in all the cute sleepy newborn poses. The ideal age for newborn baby photography is between 6-10 days as this is when babies are the most sleepy and relaxed. William was still very sleepy and happy to curl up for the photographs. Other than the usual stirring in between us moving him gently in between poses, he stayed solidly asleep with just some gently shushing to settle him.
As Mike is a fireman it seemed only right that we incorporated this into the photos, and William even gave us a smile as we took the first photos of him laying in his dad’s leggings and boots, I think he rather liked it!
