Lancashire Baby Photographer- 20 Week old Oscar

As a lancashire baby photographer I photograph newborns all over Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and the North West on a weekly basis. But often people ask me what they do if they missed out on getting the newborn portraits within the first 14 days from birth. Well, you’ll see from Oscars session that it can be just as beautiful!

Newborn photography sessions do usually take place within the first two weeks from birth, thats not because us photographers’ want photos of the teeniest tiniest babies, its just because they are most sleepy and relaxed and flexible this close to birth which helps us to pose them in the curly positions. During a session we pose newborns in a variety of ways to create adorable images of your little one, we need them to stay asleep for most of the session without waking when they are being moved or supported by me or parents. Older babies may still sleep during a session but after 2 weeks we tend to get more relaxed positions and images of babies big bright eyes as opposed to sleepy ones.

I bring the studio with me to your home and set up near a large window which makes it much easier for parents as theres no need to travel to a studio, i bring everything from the posing bean bag and blankets to hats, props and wraps.

Oscar was absolutely adorable, a face with so much personality and the most beautiful eyes, he was a pleasure to photograph. He even fell asleep right at the end of the session so we still got some cute sleepy photos for mummy!

We’ll soon be opening the Delicious Baby Studio in Accrington and offering studio sessions which will offer parents the choice of colours and props to select for their session to make it unique.
