I was a shy girl growing up, I didn’t have much confidence. It was only when I started work and found my people, and a successful career, that my confidence grew.
I learned how people can build other people up and make such a difference to someone else’s life. I quit finance and went to University to study Photography at age 23 because I wanted to make a difference. I travelled and volunteered as a humanitarian photographer in Peru, Kenya and Ethiopia and set up my photography business at home to fund these trips.
I met so many women, much like myself, who never really had any nice photos of themselves. They spent a lot of time avoiding the camera or being behind it, photographing their children but never existing in the photos themselves. And I realised, I could make a difference, maybe just a small difference but to photograph women and help them feel comfortable and empowered. So that became my goal.
If you come for a session with your baby and don’t want to be photographed that’s cool, your choice completely. But, if you trust me I will create the most beautiful photos of those fleeting memories which you’ll forever adore. I’m a very chatty, down to earth person and (according to my clients!) I’ll put you at ease instantly, because when you’re relaxed and happy we can capture you at your absolute best!
